CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 67-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle while crossing the street in the 200 block of Baldwin Boulevard on Saturday night.
His identity has not yet been released.
Corpus Christi Police Department officers said the driver was heading west on Baldwin Boulevard at about 6:30 p.m. when the older man, who was heading north near the intersection of Baldwin and Ayers, walked into the street outside of a crosswalk.
He was taken to a local hospital, where police said he later died of his injuries.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers' investigation.
