TxDOT: All roads in Corpus Christi open for travel

Corpus Christi commuters have the all-clear to drive on roads and highways in town – but they should still be wary of slippery pavement.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — TxDOT public information officer Rickey Dailey confirmed to 3NEWS this morning that all roads and highways in Corpus Christi are now open and free of icy condition warnings.

According to Dailey, the Harbor Bridge, JFK Causeway and Nueces Causeway have been treated for black ice and are ready for traffic to flow. He also said that TxDOT crews will remain on a 24-hour schedule to monitor and treat roads as needed.

Commuters are still urged to exercise caution and be prepared for slick patches of pavement as temperatures remain below and near freezing.

You can find continuous updates on road closures and warnings on TxDOT's DriveTexas website.
