National Weather Service issues Winter Storm Warning for Coastal Bend

The counties affected are Jim Wells, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland San Patricio, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces and Coastal San Patricio.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for several counties across the Coastal Bend in effect until 3 p.m. this afternoon.

The counties affected are Jim Wells, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland San Patricio, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces and Coastal San Patricio.

According to TXDOT's Rickey Dailey, icy roads are reported on US Route 181 on the bridge from Corpus Christi to Portland and have closed Joe Fulton Corridor and the Port of Corpus Christi. TXDOT workers are currently surveying other roads and highways for any other possible closures.
