CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Leopard Street, one of the few restaurants in Corpus Christi, not only open for Thanksgiving, but serving up Thanksgiving dinner, too! Our cameras caught Coastal Bend residents picking up their Thanksgiving dinners from the Astor Restaurant.
They sold entire roasted turkeys, stuffing, potatoes, green beans, corn and rolls, altogether -- not too shabby of a Thanksgiving feast. Especially for those of us who just can’t make that kind of spread on our own.
"I’m very grateful that they're open for us, for the older people," said customer Janie Ortiz. "Hopefully that everybody that is less fortunate, that somebody will bring them a little plate of turkey."
If you're looking for an Astor Restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner right now, well, you're too late. However, you can find a list of restaurants that are open today on our website. Unfortunately, we can't promise you'll find turkey or stuffing on that menu.
