CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 35-year-old man is suffering from life-threatening injuries after a stabbing incident that took place in the 5700 block of Everhart Road near an area Popeyes on Monday evening.
Police say a preliminary investigation showed the victim was terminated from his place of employment earlier in the day. The business was adjacent to where the victim was found.
Witnesses told officers the victim had come back to work several times throughout the day to harass and threaten employees. The police were called several times, but the 35-year-old would reportedly run away before the police could arrive.
The last time the victim showed up he began to assault an ex-co-worker in the parking lot. The victim then approached another ex-co-worker, 53-year-old Margarito Cisneros.
Cisneros stabbed the 35-year-old.
He was then arrested for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon and taken to a city detention center.
CCPD said the investigation is still an active.
