CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and with that The Reguladores Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club hosted 'Bikers for Boobs' Saturday to help women with no insurance to get a free mammogram screening.
The event also served as a way to help spread awareness of the disease and empower women so that they can be advocates for their health.
This fundraiser started back in 2023 and continues to benefit women across the Coastal Bend.
"It helps women immensely because usually they raise about $15,000 every year, sometimes even more. And each of our mammograms cost $75.00. So, it definitely helps us to be able to give more free mammograms," said patient coordinator for First Friday Tisha Zirbes.
All the proceeds raised during Saturday's event will benefit First Friday a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast cancer awareness and community outreach to help save women's lives and provide to those in need.
