CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Calling all runners! The 14th Annual Bill Dodge Bay Run is happening this Saturday, and organizers want you to join in on the run by the bay.
Participants have the option to run the 5k, 15k or the participate in two-mile walk. Online registration is now closed but you can still register for $50 the morning of the run at Cole Park Pier starting at 6 A.M. All proceeds from the run will benefit an animal shelter in Texas!
Bill Dodge was prominent figure in Corpus for many years before passing away in 2010. Originally from New York, Dodge moved to Corpus Christi in the 90s where he became a chairman for the Port of Corpus Christi, YMCA, The Red Cross and even the Education Service Center.
Good friends of Bill, the Larue family, joined First edition on Thursday morning to share their favorite stories of Bill and tell them how they've chosen to carry on his legacy.
