CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi ISD's board of trustees announced Wednesday that they approved a new $135.4 million bond proposal package set to be placed on this year's November ballot.

The proposed Bond 2024 will not affect residents’ tax rates, according to the district.

Voters will soon have the chance to decide on the package, which includes a new elementary campus to house students from Kostoryz, Sanders and Yeager elementary schools next to the Yeager site and similar renovations to Houston Elementary School.

The proposal also includes $3 million in funding to upgrade district-wide fine arts capabilities and replace aging band equipment, a new gym at Haas Middle School and interior renovations at King, Moody and Veterans Memorial High Schools.
