CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Monday the Corpus Christi Police Department revealed their new bus wrap initiative with CCRTA hoping to remind residents to not leave items in the car when shopping this holiday season.
During Monday's ceremony at Moore Plaza, department officials told residents its plans to increase police presence out on the roads and in stores during these busy last few months of the year.
CCPD Captain Timothy Frazier said their are proactive steps you can take to prevent becoming a victim of an auto crime.
"We don't want to give them that easy opportunity," he said. "Make sure you hide it, make sure you lock your car. Don't leave that valuable item or any items visible to anybody that wants to take it."
