CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police Department held a press conference Tuesday police to talk about all things back-to-school safety.
There will be more traffic out on the roads, so drivers are advised to watch for other cars, students using cross walks and of course those school zones!
"Especially that first week, it gets kind of chaotic," CCPD Captain Timothy Frazier said. "Please, please, please take your time start early to get there early. As far as pedestrians are concerned we need to make sure that if you see someone crossing on a crosswalk, you stop and yield to those people that are on the crosswalk."
Frazier wants kids to remember safety comes first when headed to school. For kids who walk to school, make sure you are looking both ways when using a crosswalk.
