CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The CHRISTUS Spohn Health system is expanding access for those who need surgical procedures here in the Coastal Bend.
They are doing it by adding more surgeons to the Christus Trinity Clinic Network.
As a group, the four new doctors joining the network already have extensive experience in Corpus Christi.
Officials with CHRISTUS Spohn Health said that they are also using a system that makes it easy for doctors at any of their locations to quickly access patient records.
"That allows us to hopefully, number one, get better care to the patient where they are. Second, it allows doctors to make faster decisions. And I think, third, is that it allows us to not take redundant tests," said Dominic Dominguez, CEO of CHRISTUS Spohn Health System.
Dominguez said that they currently serve over 65 percent of those needing healthcare in our region and that they expect to continue to expand their services across South Texas.
