Congratulations to all participants that crossed the Conquer the Coast finish line

Over a thousand cyclists of all ages and abilities put their skills to the test and took part in a 66, 21 or 10 mile route along the Corpus Christi Bay.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Cyclists were able to take one final bittersweet ride over the iconic Harbor Bridge during the 22nd annual Conquer the Coast.

Over a thousand cyclists of all ages and abilities put their skills to the test and took part in a 66, 21 or 10 mile route, each offering a scenic ride along the Corpus Christi Bay.

The event also spread a message of inclusivity, making way for those with disabilities to participate and take control of their own strength to beat the odds.

"They did a half a mile on their own and we were just out there to cheer them on and to just see the look on their faces and knowing they accomplished something. It's just very heartwarming and it gets us through and we get done what we have to do for them," said the founder of Wings of Texas Michelle Jones.

Wings of Texas, an organization that accommodates those with special needs in our community, brought many riders out to the event as a way for them to take part and experience crossing that Conquer the Coast finish line.
