CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A continuance was issued for Hilda Adame's bond-reduction hearing Wednesday.
28th District Court Judge Nanette Hasette granted the joint motion filed by Nueces County District Attorney Jimmy Granberry and Adame attorney Angelica Hernandez.
Adame is the Corpus Christi mother whose 22-month-old toddler died after being left in a car for about five hours Aug. 20
Granberry tells 3NEWS he approached Hernandez after realizing his office needed more information from law enforcement to comfortably move forward.
"We agreed to enter a joint motion for a continuance on the bond reduction hearing so that we can get all the facts that are known to the police," he said Wednesday afternoon. "We met with the police this afternoon, and we know a lot more now than we did before we went in for the hearing."
Adame is scheduled to be back in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
