CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Think you have what it takes? The Corpus Christi IceRays are looking for someone to step into some big shoes as this season's new Stinger Ray Mascot!
The team took to social media on Monday urging people apply for a chance to fill the spot.
Fans and commentors noted that the team's preseason mascot was well-loved by crowds-- a sentiment echoed by the IceRays who said the performer was recovering from surgery and would not be available for a while.
If you would like to apply for the position, you can send an email to the Head of Game Operations, Michelle Evans, at mevans@goicerays.com for more information.
The team is looking for someone who is at least 5'6'' to take on the role, but they are open to hearing from anyone who has passion for the position.
