Nearly 3,000 Corpus Christi residents without power Tuesday night

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Around 2,800 residents are without power, according to AEP Texas' online outage map.

The map shows that many of the outages are being experienced by Weber Road and SPID as well as Greenwood Drive and Gollihar Road.

Omar Lopez with AEP said that there is a downed power line near Weber and SPID. He said crews estimate that power will be restored by around 10 p.m.

According to CCPD, a power pole on Weber Road and Lamont Street was reported to have been on fire Tuesday evening.
