CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Three seats remain up for grabs on Corpus Christi's City Council and voters will soon decide the fate of six candidates running for mayoral office and spots for Districts 1 and 4 in the city's Runoff Election on Dec. 14.
The first week of early voting will take place Monday, Dec. 2- Friday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Voters will also have a chance to make their voices heard on Monday, Dec. 9 and Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. All voting centers will be closed Dec. 7-8.
The final day to vote will be Saturday, Dec. 14 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Curbside voting will be available for voters who are physically unable to enter the polling place without personal assistance or likelihood of injuring their health. Call (361) 888-0303

Who is up for election in the city's runoff race?
Corpus Christi's incumbent Mayor Paulette Guajardo and At-Large City Councilman Michael Hunter will continue their race to lead the city.
Guajardo won more than 47% of the vote in the Nov. 5 General Election while Hunter finished with almost 35% of the vote, stopping the incumbent mayor from avoiding the runoff election.
Incumbent Councilmember Everett Roy and challenger Billy Lerma are up for the District 1 seat, which includes downtown Corpus Christi, North Beach, the Westside, Annaville and Calallen.
Kaylynn Paxson and May Mendoza will face each other for the District 4 seat, which covers Padre Island, Flour Bluff and a small portion of the eastern Bay Area east of Airline Road.

Mail-In Voting:
If you plan to vote by mail, you still have time. The last day to apply for Ballot by Mail for the upcoming City of Corpus Christi Runoff MUST be received in the County Clerk's office by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 3 (not post marked).

Remember to bring ID to the polls

- Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
- Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
- United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
- United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
- United States Passport (book or card)
