CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you're planning to get on the road this Thanksgiving, the thought of filling up your vehicle has likely crossed your mind at least once.
GasBuddy's Patrick De Haan said that filling up in Corpus Christi tends to be more affordable compared to other places.
"Corpus Christi tends to be one of the cheapest cities in the country to fill your tank up, as do many areas of Texas in the deep south," he said.
De Haan said that the drop in gas prices is due to many residents driving less as temperatures start to cool off.
"Gas prices are still far below what they were this summer. The national average has gone down for nine straight weeks," he said.
