CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There has been a delay in the murder trial of Anthony Ramon.
Ramon is wanted for the shooting of 52-year-old David Sanchez in 2020. Ramon was back in court on Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing, during which lawyers informed the judge that the medical examiner was still awaiting crucial documents from the investigation into the fatal shooting.
Police said Ramon is the prime suspect in Sanchez's murder. Sanchez was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound on Meuly Street near Port and Agnes. Those documents are expected to be handed over to the medical examiner before the end of the week.
Ramon faces capital murder charges.
