CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police and fire crews were called out to the 840 block of Oak Parke Avenue at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday for a housefire in a vacant home, according to officials.
CCFD Battalion Chief Johnson said that one firefighter was taken to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency while at the scene that was not related to the fire.
3NEWS was told that the first responder is in stable condition
One neighbor, Gloria Strickland, said that the home was vacant at the time of the incident, and she doesn’t know what has happened as she believed the owner moved out months ago.
There is no word on the cause of the fire at this time.
