CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Around 150 students from TG Allen and Oak Park elementary schools received shoes, hoodies, toys and socks Friday at the YMCA.
Flint Hills Resources put up the money for YMCA board members and staff to go on a shopping spree to buy the items last week, and this week, the kids got their gifts during a party that featured lunch, dancing, pictures with Santa and even superheroes!
This is the event’s 30th year, one that keeps getting bigger every year, according to YMCA board members.
