CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Flour Bluff ISD is springing into the new school year by making sure their staff has a fresh spring in their step!
The dual convocation and wellness fair saw district staff and leaders gather for a hearty welcome back to school. Attendees even heard special remarks from current UIL athletics director and Hornet alum, Ray Zepeda.
Beyond the preparations and school spirit, was a focus on wellness for staff and students alike.
"School years are difficult at times, it's long, hours are long, so we put together this wellness fair to let them know that there's stuff out there to do to take care of their health so that they can better serve our students," Chris Steinbruck, superintendent of FBISD said.
Staff got to sample a variety of local vendors that specialize in mental, physical and emotional wellness. So, that when the kiddos come back to school they'll be ready to set the tone for a happy, healthy, hard-working classroom.
