CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Four people were arrested Tuesday after DPS troopers and other law enforcement agencies began a high-speed pursuit in Brooks County on Monday.
The chase began around 11:40 a.m. when a Honda Accord was spotted going 100 mph in the NB lane of 281.
DPS attempted to stop the car with spikes twice, but at least one of the attempts failed.
Sgt. Rob Mallory said the driver entered Alice city limits where they eventually bailed out by the Walmart off of Hwy. 44 at around noon.
The driver was reportedly hiding out in a field near a movie theater also in the area. By 12:17 p.m., the driver and other three occupants were in custody.
