CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The last time the community has been able to come out and see a wide variety of indigenous culture all in one place was 20 years ago!
The Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas' Veterans Pow-Wow was a huge success.
It was held at the American Bank Center and the big turnout has paved the way for the event to potentially become annual.
Native American dancers and vendors from across the country were also on hand to showcase and honor veterans for their service.
"We wanted to bring them together under this roof with the people that may have not been exposed to the culture and they can come and get educated. See what it's about, hear our songs, dance our dances and just participate and see why we are such a resilient proud people," said Anthony Falcon.
