CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Kingsville Police Department detectives are investigating a fight between an ex-boyfriend and current boyfriend that ended in a deadly shooting Tuesday night.
According to officials it happened just after 8:30 p.m.at the Connell Villa Apartments on East Santa Gertrudis off Highway 77.
Investigators say the victim, 44-year-old Thomas Moore, was attempting to climb into the apartment through a window when 38-year-old Desmond Jones opened fire five times. Three of those shots striking Moore.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Police have arrested Jones for possession of a firearm by a felon.
