CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — 3NEWS has learned more details of a shooting that took place downtown. It happened just before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Starr St. and N. Chaparral St.
Multiple officers responded to reports of a fight that had broke out between several parties which led to one man firing recklessly into a crowd.
Two people were shot and taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooter was able to flee the scene prior to police arriving.
CCPD said that this is an ongoing investigation, stay with 3NEWS for updates.
