CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man was hit and killed by a truck as he walked along FM 624 just outside of Calallen, according to DPS Sgt. Rob Mallory.
He said a GMC Sierra was traveling westbound went it hit the pedestrian walking along the roadway.
FM 624 is closed between County Road 79 and County Road 77 as law enforcement officials investigate the crash.
This is the second fatal pedestrian crash DPS responded to Thursday night.
Just hours earlier Thursday night, a pedestrian was killed while attempting to cross FM 2444.
