CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — CCPD is searching for a suspect who shot a man in the leg after an alleged fight broke out between two groups of people who knew each other in a South Port Avenue neighborhood.
According to police officials, around 3:35 a.m. Friday officers arrived to the 3800 block of South Port Avenue, near The Home Depot, and located the man shot in the leg.
The 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, CCPD said.
According to CCPD, witnesses said a fight had broken out between two groups of people that knew each other, and as one car left, someone inside shot at the other group of people, hitting the 21-year-old.
Police were able to find the suspect's vehicle and impounded it.
