Mission of Mercy hosts fourth annual clay shoot fundraiser

The annual fundraiser combined the fun of clay shooting and supporting Mission of Mercy.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Mission of Mercy hosted its fourth annual clay shoot at the Corpus Christi Gun Club to support their effort to provide and offer free medical services to those in our community who do not have insurance.

Executive Director Sherry Bowers said that they currently have 3,000 active patients and over the years they have helped a total of 77,000 patients. That number continues to grow.

"Mission of Mercy is here to support the people in our community that desperately have no resources for free medical care," Bowers said. "So it means a lot to me to serve as the executive director and help those people that need it the most."

Mission of Mercy will be participating in the annual "Day of Giving" for nonprofit groups coming up in November and they will also have a signature fundraising event in March called "Camo and Country."
