CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There was a lot of excitement as the newly renovated Islander Dining Hall is now officially open to students and the community.
The new additions include a new Mexican food restaurant, along with a pizza station and a refreshed salad bar. It all means more dining options for the growing student population.
"We opened this space up a little bit as part of the renovations in the back and the front, improving the lighting because we want to do more events here. Not only does it help with events like that it also ties the dining hall with the culture of South Texas as well," said Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services at TAMU-CC Neftali Rivera.
This new facility is already seeing a lot of positive feedback.
If you want to check it out for yourself, it's open from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
