CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Starting Thursday TxDOT will be temporarily opening the northbound I-37 exit to Labonte Park to help handle the large crowds visiting the park during Easter weekend.
The exit has been closed since December of last year.
In preparation of the exit reopening, workers will close the I-37 northbound right lane Wednesday night so crews can continue working on the Nueces River Bridge reconstruction project.
The exit will close again starting April 2 as workers continue the bridge project. The closures are expected to last until May.
Drivers are advised to slow down and watch out for workers and equipment.
