CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Rockport Police Department is cracking down on porch pirates this holiday season.
Rockport residents who will not be home when their gifts and packages are delivered can have them delivered to the Public Safety Center starting on Monday through Dec. 24th.
With an estimated 800 packages going out between Thanksgiving and New Years -- police said they are taking a stand against the act through their annual 'Operation Safe Delivery'.
Rockport residents can have their packages delivered to the Public Safety Center located at 714 E Concho Street. Residents can pick up their packages Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm or weekends from 9am to 1pm. Packages from major carriers (excluding the U.S. Postal Service) must not exceed 35 pounds. Those picking up packages must present a valid photo ID and an order/shipment receipt.
