CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Three mobile homes were destroyed in Papalote after a fire started behind a house on County Road 537 at around 12:17 p.m., said the Papalote Volunteer Fire Department's Cathey Brown.
Multiple area fire departments responded to a fire in Papalote on Friday afternoon.
Brown said the fire started near a lot of old cars that were behind a house.
It is currently unknown how the fire started.
Fire departments from Skidmore, Beeville, Refugio and Goliad assisted in putting out the fire.
Brown said that the fire was no surprise to her especially due to the dry vegetation.
