CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Officers were dispatch to the 5200 block of I-37 near Navigation Boulevard at a Circle K gas station for a shooting that took place around 2:56 p.m.
When they arrived, they located a man in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. Paramedics took him to the hospital where he has since died.
The suspected shooter left the scene before police arrived.
Officers are reviewing video surveillance and speaking with possible witnesses to help them identify the person responsible.
At this point, CCPD does not know if the suspect fled on foot or by car.
Police have not released an official suspect description.

Corpus Christi police are responding to an incident near a gas station off of I-37 and Navigation Boulevard.
Several officers are on scene and have roped off the area. There is a white Honda that appears to have a shattered window and police markers are on the ground.
