CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Port Aransas held its Turkey Trot event at the Grand Lawn on Wednesday morning. The event featured fun activities leading up to the run.
Both the Turkey Trot and Gobble on the Grand events proceeded as planned, offering days filled with running, bounce houses, music, lawn games, and much more fun.
"We just appreciate everybody's support on Trinity. This is a huge fundraiser for them. And being the only childcare they want to grow in this school," said 2023 Port Aransas Turkey Trot Runner Beth Owens.
Julliann Gainey, the Turkey Trot director, noted one of the most significant changes this year: registrations came from across Texas and 14 other states, spanning from Alaska to New Jersey. The event's proceeds support programs and offer scholarships for Trinity by the Sea Episcopal Day School.
