CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Beginning on Monday, short term nightly closures will resume for the new Harbor Bridge Project. Expect work from 9 p.m.-6a.m. The closures will affect 1-81 Southbound from Beach Avenue to Burleson Street. The temporary closures are for retaining wall work. If you are planning to travel through the area -- seek an alternate route.
If your trip takes you out of town on I-37, be aware TX-DOT is resuming lane closures on the Nueces River Bridge Project. Those closures were halted for the holiday weekend. Once again --find a different route if you can avoid delays.
