CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Roxanne Palacios, the woman arrested in November of 2022 for a deadly wrong-way crash on the Harbor Bridge, went before Judge David Klein for a docket call Wednesday.
District Attorney Jimmy Granberry represented the state in court, asking for a continuance, meaning a postponement of a hearing or trial for another date.
Granberry told the court Wednesday that he doesn't have everything he needs for this case to happen right now.
The defense had no objection and the case has been postponed for some time in June.
According to Corpus Christi police, Palacios was driving north in the southbound lanes of the Harbor Bridge when she crashed into Betsy Mandujano and Matthew Banda, killing them.
A third person was also seriously injured in the crash.
Police said on the night of the accident that Palacios had just left a company party where she had been drinking.
She faces two counts of felony intoxication manslaughter.
