CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Looking for something to do this weekend with the whole family? The Sea Breeze District Boy Scouts are hosting their first ever Scouting by the Bay event this Saturday and they want you to join in on the fun!
3NEWS spoke with the Scouting America South Texas Council and local Cub and Boy Scouts ahead of the recruiting event.
The event is free and will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Water's Edge Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Scouts will have everything from knot tying demonstrations and Pinewood Derby races to campout cooking and an Order of the Arrow show.
CCPD, CCFD, and the S.W.A.T team will be there to join in on the fun with some of their favorite demonstrations. You also don't want to miss the the U.S. Coast Guard's MH-65 helicopter show!
Is your child interested in joining The Scouts? Leaders from the Boy Scouts Sea Breeze district will be there to answer any questions.
