CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Tejano musician Bobby Pulido has announced plans for a farewell tour set to take place next year. Pulido also announced that he plans to pursue political office in 2026.
In a video posted to Facebook on Thursday, the beloved musician said he had given the decision a lot of thought, and it was not made hastily.
"I feel like my life has come full circle," he said, referencing his past studies in political science at St. Mary's University in San Antonio and a lifetime interest in public service.
Pulido did not disclose what office he plans to run for or any other details, but said that in due time, the public will know what he stands for and how he 'plans to serve his people.'
"I've reached generations of people through my music and have been very blessed to have felt their love," Pulido said. "Next year, I'll be celebrating 30 years in the music business, and to be quite honest, I'm enjoying the most success I've ever had."
"But like the saying goes, all things must come to an end."
