CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Ark celebrated a big birthday Thursday night!
We're talking 30 years that the agency has been helping Coastal Bend families. What better reason to throw a bash?
Many community members could be found at the Borchard Fairgrounds for the gala supporting the incredible cause. Thursday night's proceeds all went toward the Ark Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth where they work year-round to make a difference in the lives of children who need their help.
"This is our annual fundraiser to get as much money as we can from everybody that's willing to help us," executive director Delma Trejo.
"We are very grateful to the community, to the board members, to the volunteers and to the employees," said board president Sister Milagros Tormo.
That meaningful event emceed by our very own Rudy Trevino for the second year in a row!
