CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Their Day Foundation hosted their annual health fair today.
Thousands attended the event to take advantage of free screenings and health education.
150 vendors were in attendance to give back to the community.
Their Day Foundation was first created for people with mental illness and to advocate awareness for individuals who are in need.
Their Day Foundation founder Terry Mills said it is important to take advantage of these resources
"I hope they take away good information," Mills said. "If you think there is something wrong with your body, go get it checked out if you want to do preventative maintenance down the road, because if you wait down the road you may have a bigger situation."
"I want to thank Corpus Christi, the vendors, the sponsors for being a part of this because it has made a difference. It's made a huge difference, we are grateful, totally, totally grateful!" he said.
Mills is thankful for this year's success and said he and those who attended today's event are looking forward to the foundation's next health fair in 2025.
