CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Tuesday the City of Corpus Christi awarded more than $700,000 for the transportation and installation of a United States Army Bell Huey helicopter.
The new addition to the memorial will stand as a lasting tribute honoring the sacrifices of our military heroes.
The money for the project comes from the recent voter-approved Bond 2024 parks fund.
The helicopter display will be lit up at night where the community will be welcome to visit and explore along a new path that will include colored concrete pavers.
The project is set to begin next month and is expected to be completed in June 2025.
