CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Tuesday a handful of real estate professionals got a closer look at the $800 million developments over at Whitecap North Padre Island and its upcoming housing opportunities.
Back in September 2023, the sales team at Whitecap NPI began accepting reservations for homesites with plans to open sales, but that hasn't happened yet.
Johnny Enzo a realtor with Keller Williams, was one of the real estate professionals aboard Tuesday's tour.
"These houses are going to be a little pricey, but this is going to be something you can see having a family or future here," Enzo said.
According to City Council member Dan Suckley, there is still no firm pricing and listings for the lots are anticipated in the coming months.
"Seeing all the new bulkheads that are going to come about with new homes and short-term rentals, we are excited to be out here," Farmers Insurance Agent Stephanie Waterman said.
Suckley also told 3NEWS that only 100 of the 600 homes being built must be residential, meaning 500 of those homes are allowed to be short-term rentals.
3NEWS reached out to Whitecap NPI for more information on pricing and availability, but they declined to comment.
