CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Last September, 3NEWS did a story about David Robinson, the Orange Grove resident had to be airlifted to the hospital after being attacked by pit bulls.
On Monday David's wife, Monica, told 3NEWS the family of seven has been struggling financially since her husbands treatment.
However, they didn't know that the Wyatt Ranch heard about their family's Christmas need.
On Tuesday Wyatt Ranch vaqueros Walter Mencias, Arnulfo Gutierrez and Santiago Vela surprised the couple with presents for their five children.
"It was the ranches pleasure to be able to come forward and assist and do what we had to do to bring the family some comfort and joy and happiness to their kids especially you know in this moment of need," Mencias said.
3NEWS asked the couple if they were surprised.
"Yes, oh my God," Monica said. "The kids are going to even be more surprised."
David and Monica even received a gift basket from the ranch that included some ranch knick-knacks and a bottle of whiskey.
The spirit of Christmas is certainly alive in Duval County. The Wyatt Ranch along with the sheriff's department will be putting on their annual toy giveaway on Dec. 14.
