Wyatt Ranches serves area seniors a holiday meal fit for a king

Senior citizens from Agua Dulce, Concepcion and Freer were treated to a scenic Thanksgiving luncheon at Wyatt Ranches Los Robles Division.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Food aside, Thanksgiving is first and foremost about gratitude and togetherness, and in Robstown, Wyatt Ranches heaped all that and more on some very worthy folks Wednesday.

Senior citizens from Agua Dulce, Concepcion and Freer were treated to a scenic Thanksgiving luncheon at Wyatt Ranches Los Robles Division.

The seniors got to enjoy a lavish meal which included tenderloin, baked sweet-potato souffle and chocolate ganache cake; they heard music from live mariachis, and a got tour of the ranch.

Best of all, they did it all together in the company of new friends.

“A lot of times out elderly citizens are overlooked, and we don't like when our senior citizens are just cast off and forgotten,” said Wyatt Ranches Foundations Board Member Analisa Garza. “They come out here and they have a blast, and we have a blast right along with them.”

While this was Wyatt Ranches' last Thanksgiving event of the year, they're not done spreading that holiday cheer.

Their next big holiday event is a toy giveaway for Duval county kids Dec. 14.
