ROCKPORT, Texas — Rockport-Fulton Head Football Coach/Athletics Director Jacob Bible resigned Wednesday, a source close to the program told 3NEWS.
Bible was with the Pirates for just one season, going 2-9 overall and 2-3 in district, including a 64-14 loss to Alice in the first round of playoffs.
Before taking the job at Rockport-Fulton in 2023, Bible served as a defensive coordinator for Midlothian Heritage High School. He had previously served as head coach at 4A Venus High School and 3A Kermit High School.
Bible replaced Jay Seibert, who left the school after nine seasons for Sweeny, and whose son was the team's starting quarterback.
This is a developing story. 3NEWS will provide updates as they become available.
