CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Over in Aransas Pass, a new school zone ordinance is being put into effect beginning Jan. 8.
The Aransas Pass Police Department shared that the ordinance will change the speed limit in all existing zones to 20-mph.
It eliminates the "all-day" school zones and creates new zone times.
Those new times will be from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The one-way school zone routes will begin at 7 a.m. and will run until 4:30 p.m.
