CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With Christmas just three days away, many are rushing to wrap those presents!
And CASA of the Coastal Bend was at La Palmera Mall to lend a hand!
The organization was there wrapping gifts and accepting donations that will go directly to local children in foster care.
3News spoke with CASA communications director Diana Booth about Thursday's event.
She said that while it's very fun to speed-wrap gifts for husbands trying to surprise their wives the most excitement she's gotten is seeing the community so eager to donate to this cause.
"I think when we tell the individuals this money that you're donating goes directly to kids in foster care, they're so happy and so generous. we have such a generous community."
Booth said the organization is always looking for volunteers.
