CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Nueces County Medical Examiner has identified the victims of what police are investigating as a murder-suicide that occurred on Christmas Eve in the city's south side.
Sheadyn Rogers, 49, and his son Luke Rogers, 15, both died of gunshot wounds according to the medical examiner,
Corpus Christi Police Department officers were called to Natchez Dr, close to Cimarron and Lipes Boulevard, at 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve after a person concerned for the family's well-being called for a welfare check. The person who reported the incident informed the police that they had not been in contact with the family for several days.
Upon entering, CCPD discovered the father and son dead in the home. Police believe Sheadyn Rogers shot his son Luke Rogers.
The Robbery-Homicide Division will continue the investigation.
