CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Friday night was the return of an ever-growing downtown tradition, First Friday Artwalk!
The long-standing event encourages the community to support local, while allowing downtown business owners to showcase their skills and craftsmanship.
Five brand-new murals were also unveiled Friday night, and the muralists stuck around to share their work and even sign a few autographs!
Many local pop-up vendors lined up to show off their art as well.
3NEWS spoke with Adrian Sandoval with Desire Arts who says that passion for artwork is a mutual feeling between himself and those who stop by his shop.
"I just love the expression that they get from seeing my artwork," Sandoval said. "They always ask me, 'Are you the artist? Are you sure you did this?' It's a cool feeling bringing that type of excitement to the community."
If you're interested in checking out his shop, he'll be back next month for the event, along with many other vendors bringing their visions to life to share with our community.
