CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Plans to upgrade Emerald Beach Hotel into 'Hotel Indigo' were unanimously passed by the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) #3 Board on Tuesday.
The makeover is expected to be completed by Spring 2027, according to officials with the Downtown Management District.
Big renovations are on the way for the 222 room hotel that was originally built in the 1960s, including include roof repairs, three restaurant concepts, a virtual game room, rooftop bar, and much more!
The project costs over $33.5 million and will receive $5 million in reimbursements through TIRZ #3 programs.
The first phase approved in September 2023 allowed the South Tower of the hotel to be converted into the Holiday Inn Express which celebrated its grand opening this September.
